To those not following along on Instagram, I drove down to Baltimore yesterday to pick up the race car and trailer I had imported from the UK. It's the culmination of a couple months of work and 20-some pages of paperwork to get all the red tape sorted. We've already got the now-useless Duratec engine out and I'm counting my chickens to see how painful the $10,000 Honda kit is going to be.

Congrats! Should be a hoot. I expect some onboard footage of hoonage.

Wait why was the Duratec useless? You could add all kinds of EcoBoost bits to it

I'm certain that if you have imported a formula ford, you probably know what you are talking about, but if you need some advice or even some contacts for parts from the UK, throw me a line.
We used to race a Van Diemen RF96 Formula Renault at college which is effectively a bastardised FF chassis.

The duratec isn't legal for any of the US sanctioning bodies.

We need better pics of the car! Want to see all the cool details. Good luck with the Honda conversion. Is there a Mygale kit available or will you be doing some fab work?

I couldn't afford an ecoboost car when I moved over there. It turned out well though, the ecoboost cars are paperweights now and the older chassis, especially in the US, are appreciating in value.

A few tubes need to be chopped up to make the kit fit but aside from that it should drop right in with a conversion kit.
